There was previously an issue where DCPC periodic training that was uploaded between 10 September 2013 and 9 September 2014 is showing as invalid on the DVSA Check your Driver CPC Hours system.
Drivers who had both Category C & D entitlement on their licence before 10 September 2008 qualified for ‘dual category acquired rights’.
If they completed 35 hours of periodic training before 10 September 2013, they were issued with a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) with a harmonised expiry date of 9 September 2019 for both categories. This meant that drivers could undertake their next block of 35 hours training over a period of six years rather than the usual five.
DVSA has now advised that the "bug" in the system that showed these valid hours as invalid has now been rectified and DQCs have been issued to all those drivers who have 35 hours of periodic training uploaded. These new DQCs should be received well before the driver’s current DQC expires on 9 September 2019.
