Welcome to The Federation of Passenger Transport

The Federation of Passenger Transport N.I. Ltd, is a non-profit organisation representing the provinces leading bus and coach operators and industry suppliers. Based at the Ecos Centre, Ballymena our members are made up of both public and private transport providers including Translink and almost 75% of private sector fleet throughout the province.

Our main focus is the promotion of the passenger industry in Northern Ireland and to formally represent, promote and protect the interests of our member organisations and our vision is to increase passenger transport patronage and maintain an operating environment where our members can individually or in partnership, provide safe, high quality and reliable passenger services.

FPT is recognised by Government as the representative voice of the coach and bus industry, and is also the focus for industry consultation and policy changes. Members directly benefit from the guaranteed access that FPT enjoys to politicians and policy advisers at all levels, which ensures that our member’s voices are heard and their interests safeguarded, right at the heart of the Government.

The benefits of FPT membership are not solely political and include a wide range of operational, technical and business advice services. We have also developed, a number of industry partners who offer a range of commercial services for the exclusive benefit of members – These services include a legal helpline, a dedicated insurance facility, competitive asset finance rates , direct access to vehicle manufacturers and much more.
